Role Description: The Executive Assistant role at Laydon Industries, LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in New Haven, CT. The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to company leadership, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating internal and external communications. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and organizing documents, drafting correspondence, maintaining records, and handling confidential information with discretion, especially when dealing with personal errands and familial matters. The Executive Assistant will collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth office operations and timely completion of executive priorities.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong Executive Administrative Assistance and general Administrative Assistance skills, including calendar management and document organization. Candidates should possess experience with Executive Support tasks such as meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and handling confidential information. Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency with office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar tools) and comfort with learning new systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated reliability, professional judgement, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous experience supporting executives or senior leaders; experience in construction or related industries is a plus.
