About Akris Akris is an international fashion house founded in 1922 and based in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Creative Director Albert Kriemler designs fashion-forward womenswear and signature accessories. Akris presents ready-to-wear runway shows twice a year in Paris and is known for its double-face fabrics, innovative embroidery, and digital photo-printing techniques. The company has been owned and run by the founding family for three generations and operates boutiques in major cities around the world. Both the Akris main collection and its sportier sister line, Akris punto, are available in over 500 points of distribution worldwide. Akris is seeking a Wholesale Market Week Intern who is eager to learn and interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced luxury fashion environment. This internship offers the opportunity to support the wholesale team during one of the busiest and most exciting times of the season: Market Week. While this internship is unpaid, Akris will reimburse subway transportation to and from the showroom and provide lunch daily. Letters of recommendation are available upon successful completion of the internship.
Requirements: This is a one-week internship. Required Availability (In Person)Saturday, November 6: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PMMonday, November 8 – Thursday, November 12: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PMIdeal Candidates will Be: Organized and detail-oriented Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Responsible, reliable, and punctual Interested in the fashion industry Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal skills Positive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn Previous fashion experience is preferred but not required.
