$1849.60/week -Job Summary: The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs a variety of technical laboratory procedures across multiple disciplines to ensure accurate and timely test results for patient care. The role involves operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, analyzing samples, and supporting quality assurance initiatives.
Responsibilities: Analyze laboratory results to ensure accuracy and validity of findings. Enter analysis data into computer systems for documentation and review. Prepare, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment in compliance with protocols. Collect and analyze blood, tissue, and other biological specimens for diagnostic purposes. Monitor quality control processes and participate in laboratory quality improvement programs. Assist with blood-typing, routine blood tests, and specimen collection from patients of all ages.
Qualifications: Hold an active Phlebotomist License and Washington State MA-P License. Demonstrate proficiency in operating laboratory instruments and conducting tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank. Possess strong analytical skills and judgment in interpreting laboratory data. Exhibit excellent organizational skills to manage workload and equipment effectively. Capable of performing venipuncture and specimen collection using proper techniques. Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards in the laboratory environment.
