About the role
The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Planning will be responsible for leading and managing a team to ensure effective material fulfillment to support production, working with internal stakeholders and suppliers from purchase order initiation to part delivery. In addition, this role will be responsible for mentoring and developing the Supply Chain Planning team and tracking key metrics/ KPIs.
Manage and develop a team of supply chain professionals and serves as the tactical escalation point to support supply chain needs, supporting efficient and effective execution of product planning and procurement.
Develop and measure department metrics, deliver status reports, act with a sense of urgency in response to crucial requirements.
Lead impact assessments, coordinating efforts across the supply and operations teams.
Establish mitigation strategies for top Supply Chain risks.
Build cross-functional teams and champion continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery goals.
Proactively provide updates team on status and critical supply issues.
Ensure Purchase Orders are issued/provided to qualified suppliers at correct pricing and MOQs per procurement’s strategic sourcing direction and commercial contracts.
Responsible for providing bills of materials (BOMs) and other information to suppliers to ensure proper execution of non-turnkey purchase orders.
Work with assigned suppliers to ensure alignment on expected purchase order due dates.
Create visibility of Singer’s material position, including line of balance reports, material shortage reports, and clear to build reports.
Identify part supply constraints that may impact production schedule and create mitigation plans and elevate to Procurement and Supply Continuity team accordingly.
Execute risk management analysis, which take into consideration past performance data, demand vs. supply, and lead time stack-ups from piece part to integration.
Lead and work in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate the ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals.
Deploy lean engineering, continuous improvement, supply chain, and manufacturing principles to ensure the implementation of efficient best practices.
Create and maintain a safe and environmentally responsible working environment aligned with regulatory standards and best practices.
