About the role

About the Position Join Aliso Dermatology as our practice grows. We are seeking a Physician Assistant with medical dermatology experience who values thoughtful patient care, strong clinical judgment, and close collaboration with a dermatologist. This is a part-time, on-site W-2 position starting at two days per week. Working days will be mutually agreed upon, with the opportunity to add days as your patient schedule grows.
Responsibilities: Evaluate and treat common skin, hair, and nail conditions. Perform comprehensive skin examinations and evaluate concerning lesions. Perform biopsies, cryotherapy, and other procedures within your training and demonstrated competence. Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care. Complete timely clinical documentation and manage follow-up on pathology, laboratory results, prescriptions, and patient messages. Collaborate with Dr. Kamel on complex cases and treatment decisions.
Qualifications: Active California Physician Assistant license and current NCCPA certification. Previous clinical experience in medical dermatology required; two or more years preferred. Strong diagnostic skills and sound judgment, including recognizing when to seek guidance. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Reliable follow-through, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
Compensation and Benefits: Guaranteed base pay of $85 per hour. Quarterly productivity bonus equal to the amount by which 25% of eligible personal collections exceeds base wages paid for that quarter, as defined in the written compensation agreement. Guaranteed base wages are retained when collections fall below the bonus threshold; no deficit carries forward. All working time is paid, including required documentation, patient follow-up, meetings, and training. Applicable overtime paid separately. Practice-paid malpractice coverage. Paid sick leave and other benefits according to applicable requirements and plan eligibility. Why Aliso Dermatology? Direct collaboration with an accessible, board-certified dermatologist. A physician-owned practice with growing patient demand. Onboarding tailored to your experience and clinical strengths. Opportunities to contribute ideas and help shape practice workflows. A focus on quality, continuity, and personalized patient care.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
