About the role

Certified Nurse Midwife We are seeking a dedicated and certified Nurse Midwife for a 12-week in-house contract position, with the possibility of extension based on operational needs. The role involves performing deliveries and providing comprehensive care to expecting mothers.
Responsibilities: Triage patients and conduct admissions. Assist and manage uncomplicated vaginal deliveries. Discharge patients who have not undergone a cesarean section. Consult with physicians on high-risk or complicated cases. Participate in operative deliveries and rounding on patients as needed. Provide potential opportunities to see patients in a Women's Clinic, though this is not the primary focus. Utilize a designated call room during shifts.
Work Schedule: The position typically requires 7 shifts of 24 hours each per month. While some shifts may fall on weekends, there may be coverage by locums or full-time family practice providers, resulting in varied weekend commitments. Post-call time off is guaranteed.
Qualifications: Certification in AMCB (American Midwifery Certification Board), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and OBDNN (Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing).Valid license and DEA registration, specific to the relevant state. Experience in triaging and delivering babies in various settings including birthing centers, home births, or hospital environments. Ability to provide emotional support and education on antenatal care and reproductive health. Anticipated Patient VolumeThe current workload involves approximately 5-6 births per day, with expectations for growth as a new facility opens in the coming months.
