About the role
Regional Nurse Consultant (RNC) Sheridan Healthcare | Regional Corporate Clinical Role Washington Senior Living is proud to be part of the Sheridan Healthcare family of communities, a growing network of skilled nursing facilities throughout Illinois. Sheridan Healthcare is seeking an experienced Regional Nurse Consultant (RNC) to join our corporate clinical team, with a focus on Wound Care and Falls Monitoring across our communities in Central, Southern, and Chicagoland Illinois. This regional position is not based solely at Washington Senior Living. Instead, the RNC will partner with facility leadership and clinical teams across multiple Sheridan Healthcare communities, providing hands-on clinical guidance, program oversight, education, and quality improvement support.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support wound care programs, including best practices and documentation.
Conduct fall-prevention audits, identify trends, and provide staff education.
Support survey readiness, quality assurance, and CMS regulatory compliance.
Mentor Directors of Nursing and clinical teams.
Partner with corporate and facility leadership to strengthen clinical outcomes and consistency across communities.

Qualifications:
- Active State of Illinois RN license - Required 5+ years of long-term care experience.2+ years of clinical leadership, regional, or consulting experience highly preferred.
- Strong wound care and fall-prevention experience.
- Knowledge of CMS regulations and survey processes.
- Ability to travel throughout Central, Southern, and Chicagoland Illinois - Required. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide responsive clinical support both remotely and on-site.
