About the role
Declare your Dedication to a Better Greenwich: Hi Neighbors! Greenwich is planning more events to celebrate 250 years of Independence, and it is time for you to make your personal mark this year by connecting with a neighbor, or two, who want to enjoy these events too. A local resident who cannot drive due to vision issues is interested in enjoying our great community events such as getting to the town concerts and movie nights, walks on the beach, local farmers markets and a real favorite - the nearby library. You can alternate between planned visits or invite her along when you go. Interested in something a little earlier in the day to get energized? There is another resident who would enjoy walking on Greenwich Town Beach in the glorious, sun-filled mid-morning hours – before the real heat begins! Recently retired, this baseball fan would love to walk and chat then maybe get coffee and a treat before heading home. It is so easy to make your personal mark by helping a neighbor during this year of Independence.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
