Responsibilities:
- String payoff; point, weld, and grind material as applicable
- Set up die boxes, ensuring proper alignment, die selection, and lubricants
- Set up by measuring wire diameter between die boxes
- Inspect material during processing to ensure proper quality is maintained
- Complete all documentation and turn in a work order to the supervisor
- Know how to die set-ups and basic scheduling techniques
- Set up and run more than one machine when needed, i.e. BB-14, BB-22, HRDEnsure work area is clean and excess materials are properly tagged
- Properly use a micrometer
- Train new operators, if necessary
- Cut samples for quality control
- Operate a crane and a forklift
- Assist the production manager and other operators as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid driver's license.2+ years experience in furnace operation.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
Proficiency with using tools and machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
