About the Role: Aircraft Inspector IV, you will be inspecting aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts to confirm they meet manufacturer specifications and government regulations. Your inspection authority covers all in-process inspections, all final inspections, and approval for return to service on all work performed.
What You'll Do: Inspect aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts for airworthiness and conformance to manufacturer specifications and government regulations Identify and document any breach of airworthiness standards Perform in-process and final inspections on all work Approve aircraft and components for return to service Apply product audit and inspection processes and procedures Support aircraft modifications and first article inspections Partner with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies(Required)Active, current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts Thorough understanding and hands-on experience with product audit and inspection processes Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel)High school diploma or GED and typically 10+ years of relevant experience (a higher-level degree may substitute for experience; related experience may be considered in lieu of required education)
Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1 Knowledge of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operationsFAA Inspection Authorization (IA)Experience with first article inspections and aircraft modifications Background in Aerospace & Defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military Safety-Sensitive Position: This role is responsible for the safety and security of people and property, and involves inspecting structures, equipment, and vehicles; handling hazardous materials; performing aviation-related duties; and operating or supervising heavy or dangerous equipment.
