About the role

We are seeking a proactive Automated Welding Coordinator to oversee robotic programming and automation in a manufacturing facility located in Fort Wayne, IN. This role involves managing a team of technical experts to enhance and troubleshoot automated systems for welding, blasting, and painting. Applicants must have hands-on experience programming robotic welding systems specifically within a manufacturing setting. Experience in general robotics or automation will not be considered.
Responsibilities: Lead and mentor Robotics Programmers and Robotic Process Technicians Oversee automation projects from inception to production launch Program, test, and validate robotic welding processes Identify areas for productivity, quality, and equipment enhancements Troubleshoot robotics, PLCs, electrical systems, and more Review engineering drawings and models to support projects Lead root-cause analysis and implement equipment improvements Create training materials and technical documentation Collaborate with various teams for project success
Requirements: Multiple years of robotics programming and automation experience in manufacturing Proven robotic welding programming skills Experience in supervising technical employees Working knowledge of PLCs, vision systems, and more Experience with FANUC Roboguide and Lincoln Electric Weld Pro a plus Familiarity with CAD software, especially Autodesk Inventor Degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering preferred Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities Comprehensive benefits are effective starting the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
