Job Title Operations Associate Job Description Pay starts at $20/hr. Weekly pay. 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 am to ~1 pm. With opportunity for more hours during holidays and outages. Operation Associates receive, empty, and sort through containers filled with food scraps. Operations Associates clean all containers (soaping, washing, rinsing), readying them to be returned to our customers. Operations Associates support our Hard-to-Recycle (H2R) program by sorting materials, including plastics, separating them into designated recycling streams, and removing and properly disposing of contamination. Operations Associates open and close the roll-off container each day and ensure that the tipping area is secure. Operations Associates cross-train to provide occasional (holidays, outages) backup coverage as a delivery driver operating a Sprinter Van. Additional Operations Associate duties include cleaning work vehicles, and maintaining a tidy work environment.
Requirements: Operations Associates desire a physically active environment: working on your feet and a willingness to work outside in all elements. Must be able to lift 50 lbs above head. A valid driver's license and ability to cross-train to provide back up driving coverage (compost bin collection). Operations Associates are not squeamish: they can be around food scraps, bugs, and the smell of decomposition. Personal characteristics of an Operations Associate: takes direction well, detail oriented, team player, self-motivated, and strong communicator.
