Role Description: The Gameday Crew role is a part-time, on-site position based in Glendale Heights, IL (10 mins from Wheaton College, if you're a student, we can give you a lift). Team members assist with matchday setup and breakdown, including preparing fields, equipment, signage, and spectator areas. Responsibilities include greeting attendees, providing basic information about the event, helping man game booths that we have for kids and parents, understanding the flow of traffic, selling merch and beverage.
Qualifications: Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with players, families, officials, and spectators. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors and event organizers. Basic organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, such as setup, check-in, and cleanup, within tight schedules. Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and variable hours during the soccer season. Comfort with light physical activity, including standing for extended periods, lifting equipment, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Interest in sports or community events is beneficial; prior experience in event operations, hospitality, or recreation is a plus. Ability to maintain a professional, inclusive, and respectful attitude toward all participants and guests.
