About the role

Head of Capital Formation (Real Estate Credit)Atlas Invest | New York, NY | Hybrid | Reports to the CEOAtlas Invest has built the origination engine, the credit framework, and the technology. This seat brings the institutional capital that matches them. Atlas is an AI-native real estate credit platform backed by Black Rock. We originate first-lien bridge loans across US metro markets and deliver them to investors through forward-flow separately managed accounts. The constraint on the business is not deal flow or credit quality. It is how fast institutional capital gets committed. This is a closing seat. WHAT YOU WILL BE SELLING• First-lien bridge loans, $200K to $15M, twelve-month average term, up to 70% LTV, US metro markets• Managed account structure, $5M minimum ticket, and a return that comes from a structural gap rather than leverage or reaching on credit• Credit framework, operating model, and technology built together, not bolted on: proprietary AI across sourcing, underwriting, and asset management, with 24-hour forward-flow approval on loans that fit the box• Real-time portfolio access and reporting for investors, the first thing an allocator's diligence team asks for• A team that has closed more than $500M of bridge loans and more than $7B of real estate transactionsWHAT YOU WILL OWN• First meeting to funded account: the right allocators, the room, diligence to completion, terms, closing• One channel: separately managed accounts from family offices, RIAs and wealth platforms, insurance investment offices, and private credit funds. No leverage providers, no loan buyers in year one• The pitch, the objections, and the pipeline discipline. Leadership owns the data room, loan tape, reporting, and ODD responses• A running start: allocator deck, leverage facility, live institutional conversations, an advisor network opening doors with you. Headcount follows capital milestonesWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE• 90 days: investor universe mapped and tiered, live dialogue with allocators you brought, two SMA mandates in diligence• 6 months: first SMA of $50M or more funded and deploying. This is the milestone that matters, and it carries a defined award• 12 months: second and third accounts in diligence or funded, and a pipeline that is systematic rather than personalWHO YOU ARE• A book you can name: the allocators you can get on the phone in thirty days, the individual at each, and the honest basis of the relationship.• A record of closing capital, not covering it: lead relationship on commitments of $25M or more, introduction through funding. SMA or forward-flow experience is the strongest signal. Placement agent backgrounds welcome• Credit fluency: you can hold a real conversation about first-lien bridge collateral, where the loss content sits, and what happens when a borrower does not perform• 8+ years in capital raising, investor relations, or business development at a private credit, real estate debt, or alternatives manager, or a placement agent. Familiar with ODD questionnaires, data rooms, and investor reporting• New York based or commutable, hybrid. Bachelor's degree requiredCOMPENSATION AND PROCESSYear-one total cash compensation is expected to range from $100,000 to $500,000 or more, driven by what you close. Process: a screening call, leadership interviews, and a ninety-minute working session on a real Atlas allocator problem. Confidential conversations welcome. Atlas Invest is an equal opportunity employer.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
