Position Overview: The Residential Real Estate Attorney will be responsible for managing residential real estate transactions from contract through closing while providing knowledgeable, responsive counsel to clients and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities: -Manage residential real estate purchase and sale transactions from contract to closing.-Conduct and review title examinations and identify and resolve title issues.-Review purchase and sale agreements, lender documents, title commitments, surveys, and other transaction documents.-Prepare and review closing documents, settlement statements, deeds, affidavits, and related instruments.-Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, builders, and other transaction parties.-Conduct residential closings and ensure all required documents are properly executed.-Provide clear and practical legal advice throughout the transaction.-Address title, lien, payoff, escrow, and other issues that arise during the closing process.-Communicate proactively with clients and transaction partners to keep matters moving toward closing.-Work closely with paralegals, pre-closers, closing staff, and other attorneys to ensure an efficient closing experience.-Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple transactions and deadlines.
Qualifications: -J.D. from an accredited law school.-Active Georgia Bar admission in good standing.-Experience handling residential real estate transactions and closings preferred.-Strong knowledge of Georgia real estate law and residential closing procedures.-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.-Ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines.-Professional, client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.-Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
