About the role

Senior Technical Account Manager Identity Security Startup
📍 Location: United States (Remote) 💰 $250k - $275k OTE (80/20) + Equity & benefits As Senior Technical Account Manager, you'll be the technical partner enterprise customers rely on to secure one of the fastest-growing attack surfaces in the cloud: Identities. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role: you'll own complex deployments from first workshop to production, and turn sprawling machine identity estates into something customers can actually see, control, and trust. Day to day you'll work alongside security, engineering, and platform teams, guiding them through onboarding, running threat hunts, and helping them get real value out of the platform in live production environments. When something needs investigating, you're the one leading the charge and getting customers to a resolution. It's a rare seat at a company sitting right at the centre of a security problem most organisations are only just waking up to. If you're equally comfortable running a technical workshop, hunting through logs for a compromised service account, and writing the detection logic that catches the next one, I'd like to hear from you. What you'll do & achieve Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, from first workshop through to production and beyond Design and deploy integrations across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS, and on-premise environments Lead technical workshops and enablement sessions that drive real platform adoption Build long-term relationships with security and engineering stakeholders Support customers through security incidents, investigations, and threat hunting Identify emerging risks and provide clear, actionable remediation guidance Create detections, risk models, and correlation logic that feed directly into the platform Develop novel customer use cases and operational workflows Feed customer insight back to Product and R&D to influence roadmap priorities Take ownership of outcomes independently, in a fast-moving, early-stage environment Who you are 5+ years in security engineering, security research, Dev Sec Ops, or solutions architecture Strong grasp of AWS, Azure, and GCP, plus CI/CD pipelines Solid experience with IAM, secrets management, and Zero Trust architectures Comfortable with threat detection, incident response, and security posture management Strong Python scripting and automation skillsA clear communicator who can explain complex security concepts to engineers and executives alike Hands-on, technically curious, and genuinely enjoys being in front of customers Thrives with ownership in a fast-paced startup environment Passionate about cyber security and emerging security technology*Follow Scout Global for more roles like this*

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
