Duration: 6-month contract starting M-F, full-time (40 hours); W2Health Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)
POSITION OVERVIEW: Directly supervising, supporting, and providing direction and leadership to the Sustaining Engineering team responsible for supporting released products throughout their lifecycle. The Sustaining Engineering Manager will lead a team focused on product reliability, manufacturability, compliance, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Customer Support. This role ensures existing products continue to meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, cost targets, and operational needs while driving design improvements, issue resolution, and long-term product health.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage a Sustaining Engineering team responsible for supporting released products across their full lifecycle. Provide technical leadership for root cause analysis, failure investigations, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues, improve yield, and reduce cost. Oversee engineering changes, deviations, and documentation updates to ensure accuracy, compliance, and traceability. Support customer escalations and field issues by providing engineering analysis and technical solutions. Ensure products remain compliant with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory certifications. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, cost reduction, and manufacturability.
Skills: Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and sustaining engineering workflows. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles. Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams. Proficiency with 3D CAD, PLM systems, and engineering change management processes.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent work experience Masters degree - preferred 5-8+ years of engineering experience supporting manufactured products or systems
Travel required: 5-10% domestic travel#TMCA
