Manufacturing Tooling Engineer

Job Description Position Summary: Seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in CNC machining and tooling development to support gear machining launch activities. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality systems are implemented successfully while driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities: Support gear machining operations through tooling development and optimization. Implement and maintain tooling tracking systems. Identify tooling-critical characteristics and establish process controls. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and productivity. Complete PPAP documentation and support production launch activities. Develop and improve manufacturing processes using engineering principles and analytical techniques. Investigate manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Conduct process audits and ensure adherence to manufacturing standards. Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures. Lead variability reduction and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality requirements. Support ISO 14001 compliance activities and internal audits.

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining manufacturing environments. Strong experience with: Tooling DevelopmentCNC MachiningCNC Mills High-volume machining operations Gear blade grinding Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
