About the role
- Prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries
- Produce detailed and accurate written and electronic documentation of varsity athletic injuries/conditions, treatment, rehabilitation, and progress notes with coaching and physician referrals
- Provide coverage for varsity and subvarsity team practices and athletic competitions as assigned
- Provide athletic injury education and counseling to student athletes
- Assist the Head Athletic Trainer in administrative duties
- Assist and advise the coaching staff regarding injury prevention, conditioning programs, and the selection, care, and fitting of protective equipment
- Assist in monitoring environmental hazards (i.e., lightning, humidity levels, etc.)Assist in the care and cleanliness of the athletic training room
- Responsible for giving basic instruction to athletic department staff members in the prevention and care of athletic injuries
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Master's PreferredBOC Certified Athletic Trainer
- Massachusetts Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT), or eligible for licensureAED/First Aid and CPR certified
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
