Sr. Product Engineering Writer – ArcGIS Agents

The documentation writing team is looking for an experienced, creative, and hard-working product engineering writer to create reference help documentation, blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials about ArcGIS Agents, a new geospatial agentic AI capability in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.In this role as a product engineering writer, you will work closely with software product development teams across Esri to communicate workflows, best practices, and use cases about agentic mapping applications and custom geospatial agents. We are looking for individuals who have a strong planning, problem-solving, and analytical mindset. Those who can translate complex ideas into clear and compelling messages within established deadlines are well-suited for this role.ResponsibilitiesWrite help documentation about ArcGIS Agents that aligns with Esri documentation standards, processes, and release life cyclesCreate blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials that provide repeatable, real-world workflows, GIS best practices, and applied use cases for ArcGIS AgentsCollaborate with product software development teams across Esri to help users be successful with ArcGIS Agents and other geospatial AI capabilitiesStay up to date with the latest advancements in ArcGIS workflows, geospatial best practices, ArcGIS Agents use cases, and AI technologiesRequirementsPortfolio submission: writing samples of your recent work5+ years of professional writing experience related to GIS; ideally a blended background including technical and creative writingExperience with ArcGISStrong knowledge of AI workflowsExposure to GIT-based content management systems, including markdown, to create, manage, and publish documentsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling contentEffective time management and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to thrive in an agile, proactive environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent workBachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, English, or related fieldRecommended QualificationsMaster's degree in GIS, computer science, English, or related fieldExposure to creating custom AI agentsExperience developing documentation strategies for new products#LI-DK1#LI-OnsiteTotal RewardsEsri's competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy.
