Overview:
For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, assess, plan and implement the patient care requirements and treatment necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance before, during and after surgery.
Sets up and operates the heart/lung machine.
Consults with Physicians and selects appropriate equipment.
Performs related duties as required.
SCHEDULE: 6:30 AM-3 PM. Monday-Friday. This is a Regular/Per Diem role.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited NYS college with an Associate or Bachelor's Degree with a major in perfusion technology or graduation from a NYS accredited certificate program in perfusion technology required.
Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is required.
BLS is required.
