About the role

A leading alternative asset manager (80b+ AUM) is looking to add a Corporate Development Associate to its growing team in New York. This team is responsible for realizing enterprise-and business-level strategic priorities inorganically by sourcing, assessing, and executing acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic investments, and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
  • Support strategic initiatives across M&A, capital raising, partnerships, and new business/product development
  • Build and maintain financial models and perform detailed financial and strategic analysis
  • Prepare presentations, analyses, and recommendations for senior management
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors, including investment banks, consultants, accountants, and legal counsel
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new business lines and strategic transactions
  • Conduct market research and develop insights on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities
  • Serve as a key analytical and execution resource within the broader Corporate Development function
  • Candidate Requirements 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, asset management, or corporate development
  • Strong financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Financial services and/or asset management experience strongly preferred
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and ability to approach complex business challenges creatively
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort interacting with senior executives and external partners
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership of projects from idea generation through execution
