Position Summary: The Regional Account Consultant is responsible for growing Commercial Fire's customer base within an assigned territory by winning new inspection and preventive maintenance agreements for commercial properties. This is a new-business role. You will find and pursue prospects, walk sites, build service proposals, and close multiyear agreements that cover a customer's full fire and life safety needs. Those services include fire extinguishers, emergency and exit lighting, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, backflow, kitchen hood suppression and alarm monitoring.
Key Responsibilities: Prospect and win new commercial accounts through cold calling, site visits, networking and referrals Operate in tandem with the National Sales team when applicable on complex accounts Target property managers, facility managers, building owners and multi-site operators Identify and maintain relationships with regional Affiliate Partners Build and manage a pipeline that meets or exceeds annual new-revenue plan Conduct site walks to assess customer needs and identify service gaps across all fire and life safety disciplines Prepare and present proposals and pricing for inspection and PM agreements Structure agreements for long-term value: multiyear terms, annual price escalators and full service coverage Convert existing single-service customers into full-service accounts Coordinate with operations, scheduling and technicians to ensure a smooth handoff and first inspection for new accounts Maintain accurate activity, pipeline and forecast data in the CRMBuild market knowledge of competitors, pricing and local AHJ and code requirements affecting customers
Qualifications: Required 4+ years of B2B outside sales experience with a proven record of new-business development (hunting) against a quota Experience selling services, contracts or recurring-revenue agreements Ability to read a customer's needs on site and translate them into a written proposal Self-directed, able to manage a territory and schedule with minimal supervision Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily within territory Preferred Sales experience in fire protection, life safety, security, HVAC or mechanical service, or facilities services Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience
