About the role
Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Purchasing Analyst in Arlington, VA area! This is a fully on site, five days in office role.
Responsibilities:
Manage procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production and operational requirements. Identify and implement process improvements that enhance purchasing efficiency and support business objectives. Coordinate with manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and external partners to ensure reliable product availability and resolve supply issues. Analyze market trends and cost drivers to develop sourcing strategies that support financial goals. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, and continuity of supply. Lead cost-reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and value improvement programs. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure favorable terms and mitigate supply risks. Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to address quality, cost, or delivery concerns. Develop forecasts and cost estimates to support budgeting, planning, and operational decision-making. Partner with cross-functional teams on new product introductions, product changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate packaging and product change projects with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation. Maintain high ethical standards and compliance with company policies in all supplier and business relationships.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required 3-5 years supply chain experience preferred Must possess excellent organizational skills and project management skills Strong SAP Background and experience Proven experience in sourcing food ingredients with a strong focus on supplier evaluation for quality, food safety, reliability and cost optimization Capable of managing multiple priorities and projects at the same time Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible/adaptable Effective communication and negotiation skills Good analytical skills for price evaluations, spend analysis, and inventory management Possess sound business judgment with practical approach to problem solving Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization Comprehensive benefits package including (but not limited to) health, dental, vision and 401k
