Responsibilities:
Define and champion data engineering standards across architecture, data modelling, pipeline design, testing, CI/CD and observability.
Lead technical design reviews and guide engineering teams on scalable data platform solutions.
Take ownership of key platform initiatives, improving reliability, scalability and performance across the data estate.
Partner with engineering leadership to shape long-term platform strategy and technical direction.
Mentor and support engineers across multiple teams, driving technical excellence and best practices.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks and approaches to modernise the platform.
Must-Have:
- Requirements 7+ years of Data Engineering experience with a background in leading technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Strong SQL and Python expertise.
- Solid understanding of data modelling
- Experience building and supporting cloud-based data platforms, ideally within AWS environments.
