About the role
Job Description:
Job Description The CNC Machinist operates Mazak CNC mills and lathes to produce prototype and custom steel parts. Working within a machining team and reporting to the shop supervisor, this role programs and operates equipment, verifies precision, maintains tooling, documents production activities, and supports a safe manufacturing environment across multiple machining systems.
Responsibilities:
Program and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes using multiple machining systems. Machine prototype and custom steel parts to specified requirements. Perform precision measurements using appropriate inspection methods and tools. Maintain cutting tools, fixtures, and related machining equipment. Complete accurate production documentation and records. Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe shop environment.
Required Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in CNC machining. Technical certificate in CNC machining or manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CNC programming and precision measurement. Proficiency using calipers and micrometers. Strong attention to detail. Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
