About the role
ACCU Staffing is hiring an experienced Plant Manager for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Lakewood, NJ. This hands-on leadership position oversees production, maintenance, facility operations, safety, staffing, and continuous improvement within a plastics manufacturing environment. The role works closely with Engineering, Quality Control, and senior management to maintain efficient and safe production operations.
Responsibilities:
Direct and support daily Production and Maintenance operations Review production and shipping schedules and coordinate staffing needs to maintain continuous operations Develop and improve SOPs, production methods, and equipment performance Develop preventive maintenance programs and coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance, and installations Assist with diagnosing machinery and equipment malfunctions Work with Engineering and Quality Control to improve equipment, processes, and overall plant operations Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve utilization of labor and materials Oversee facility maintenance, OSHA compliance, company safety policies, and workplace organization Manage department budgets, operational supplies, and equipment needs Supervise Production and Maintenance employees, including hiring, training, work assignments, performance management, and employee relations
Qualifications:
Experience or understanding of plastic extrusion, thermal and sonic welding, injection molding, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Automation Direct PLCMaster's degree or equivalent, or 4–10 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations and prepare reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals Forklift, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Fire Safety, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications, along with a valid driver's license
