Senior Software Engineer – Backend Heavy Full Stack | Fully Remote EST

Fully remote - EST time zone preferredUS Citizens & Green Card holders only No visa sponsorship or visa transfer availableI’m working with a leading insurance technology company that is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team and work on a complex pre-bind insurance platform. This is a backend-heavy full-stack role focused on owning third-party integrations and schema mapping end to end. Backend engineering is the core of the role, with enough frontend experience to deliver a complete working solution.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own third-party integrations from initial technical discussions through production support
- Design and manage schema mapping between external systems and internal data models
- Build backend services supporting the pre-bind insurance workflow
- Partner closely with architects on integration and data design
- Work through complex integration challenges, including inconsistent or undocumented third-party behaviour
What we’re looking for:
- Strong backend engineering experience
- Full-stack capabilities, with backend as your core strength
- Proven experience owning third-party integrations
- Strong data modelling and schema mapping experience
- Solid insurance industry experience — this is a requirement
- Experience working with complex insurance data models
Nice to have:
