About the role
- Develop and grow new BAS business across the Phoenix market
- Identify and pursue new construction, retrofit, service and controls opportunities
- Develop relationships with mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, building owners, facility managers and end users
- Sell Building Automation Systems, HVAC Controls, energy management and related services
- Manage the complete sales process from prospecting through to close
- Generate proposals and work with engineering and operations teams to develop solutions
- Build a strong pipeline of new opportunities
- Maintain and grow long-term customer relationships
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, replacements, service agreements and additional controls work
- Attend customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities
- Forecast sales activity and revenue accurately
- Take ownership of the Phoenix territory and develop a long-term growth strategy
- Proven sales experience within BAS, Building Automation, HVAC Controls or a closely related industry
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and controls
- Existing relationships within the Phoenix/Arizona market are highly desirable
- Experience selling to mechanical contractors, engineers, building owners or end users
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business and close opportunities
- Strong commercial and communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Someone who enjoys developing a market rather than simply managing an existing account base
- CompensationBase salary up to $140,000 depending on experience
