Senior Navigation Software Engineer (GPS/PNT) Avenue Technologies is seeking a Senior Navigation Software Engineer (GPS/PNT) to support a major U.S. defense contractor. This role supports mission-critical GPS/PNT systems and related defense technology.
What You'll Do: GPNTS is the Navy's next-generation, real-time GPS-based data fusion and distribution system for surface platforms. It integrates inputs from multiple navigation sensors to produce a dependable and accurate blended navigation solution for Fleet operators. In this role, you will contribute to the development and sustainment of mission-critical software that delivers reliable PNT data to U.S. Navy surface ships. What are the main functions of this role? In this role, you will contribute to the development, testing, and installation of mission-critical software components. This is an onsite role that offers strong mentorship, structured learning opportunities, and exposure to Agile development, DevSecOps processes, and CI/CD workflows. Develop and enhance software features under guidance from senior engineers.
