Job Details
Position: Dietitian with at least one (1) year of experience; preferred two (2) years of experience.
Education: Graduate from an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition. Certifications & Licensure: For post-acute locations, New York State Certification issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Dietitian-Nutritionist; for acute locations, registration by the Commissions on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian. Preferred certifications include AHA BLS.
Schedule: Dayshift, 7.5 hours per day, minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Screen and assess patients, interpret laboratory, physical, and social data, provide nutrition education, record diet instructions and patient understanding, modify menus as needed, and participate in interdisciplinary team activities.
Skills: Food Service, Clinical Documentation, Long Term Care, Clinical Assessment, Nutrition Care.
Technology Competencies: Proficient with electronic medical charting systems such as PointClick Care, SigmaCare, etc., and electronic menu systems like CBORD, NetMenu, and GeriMenu.
Submission Requirements: Qualified candidates should be able to provide proof of certifications and licensure as required.
