Job Position: Produce Team Lead Locations: Houston, TX 77005 Pay Rate: $15-$18/hour
Shift: Flexible schedule with availability 6:00 AM-4:00 PM Must be available to work 6 days per week 1 day off per week Weekend availability is required
Job Summary: We are seeking a bilingual Produce Team Lead to oversee associates and daily produce operations. This is a hands-on leadership position-the Team Lead must be able to perform all duties of a Produce Associate while also leading and supporting the team.
Responsibilities: Lead, train, and support produce associates Perform produce preparation, including cutting, slicing, chopping, and preparing guacamole and other fresh foods Stock, package, label, and merchandise products Monitor freshness, quality, and product presentation Maintain clean and sanitary workstations and follow food-safety procedures Coordinate daily operations across multiple vendors Communicate with store personnel and vendor management Address staffing and operational issues Travel between assigned locations as needed Lead by example and step in to perform associate duties when needed
Requirements: Bilingual English/Spanish required Previous produce, grocery, food-service, or leadership experience preferred Must be able to perform all physical and job duties of a Produce Associate Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required Must be able to travel between assigned locations Open availability and weekend availability required Reliable, organized, and comfortable leading a team Able to stand for extended periods and lift/move products as needed This is a working leadership role.
The Team: Lead is expected to work alongside associates and lead by example. Food safety, cleanliness, product quality, and team accountability are top priorities.
