About the role

Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Required
We are partnering with a rapidly growing technology company building secure infrastructure for enterprise AI development and software engineering. Their platform enables organizations to deploy and manage cloud development environments, AI coding agents, and modern developer tools within highly secure, regulated environments. We're looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to help expand the company's presence across federal civilian, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community customers. This is a highly technical, customer-facing pre-sales position for someone who enjoys working directly with federal customers, solving complex infrastructure challenges, and demonstrating how emerging AI technologies can be deployed securely. Unlike traditional pre-sales roles, this position requires someone who can get hands-on with infrastructure, deploy solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and lead complex proofs-of-concept.
What You'll Do: Partner with Account Executives to drive technical sales engagements with federal, defense, and intelligence customers. Lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, architecture discussions, and proofs-of-concept. Deploy and configure solutions across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Kubernetes, on-premises, and air-gapped environments. Troubleshoot Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure challenges during customer evaluations. Demonstrate how enterprises can securely leverage AI coding agents, LLMs, and AI-assisted software development tools. Work directly with federal technical stakeholders to understand infrastructure requirements, security constraints, and mission objectives. Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to communicate customer feedback and influence platform improvements.
What We're Looking For: Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship required. Must be located in the Washington, DC / Maryland / Northern Virginia area.5+ years of Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical pre-sales experience, ideally supporting federal or intelligence customers. Strong hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes, including 3+ years working with containerized infrastructure.3+ years of experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools. Experience deploying infrastructure in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or secure on premises environments. Strong understanding of networking concepts, including proxies, ingress controllers, load balancers, and secure network architectures. Familiarity with AI coding assistants and agentic development tools, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar technologies. Understanding of LLM infrastructure, model routing, and secure AI deployment architectures. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business and mission value.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
