About the role
- Develop and execute sales strategies to generate leads and close new business
- Cultivate strong relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers at all levels
- Lead the full consultative sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery meetings, client presentations, solution development, pricing, contract negotiations, and account implementation
- Consistently generate new business through cold outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and relationship-building activities
- Collaborate closely with the recruiting and delivery teams to align talent solutions with client needs and ensure an exceptional client experience
- Stay informed of industry trends, labor market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging workforce challenges to position The Planet Group as a strategic partner
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships through cross-selling and collaboration with other Planet Group business unit
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities while consistently achieving or exceeding sales and revenue goals
- Operate with autonomy, sound judgment, and strategic thinking to build long-term partnerships that contribute to the continued growth of the Technology & Enterprise Systems practice
- Bachelor’s Degree 2-5+ years of new business development experience selling technology staffing solutions
- Demonstrated success generating net-new business through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and consultative selling
- Proven ability to generate qualified leads, open new accounts, close complex opportunities, and consistently exceed sales targets
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify workforce challenges and position strategic staffing solutions
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and driven to succeed in a performance-based, commission-driven environment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across sales, recruiting, and operations teams
