About the role

Must be bilingual in Spanish. Candidate’s main area of responsibility is to support the local Hiring Center with administrative and clerical functions, including but not limited to: welcoming, checking-in, registering, pre-screening and scheduling craft labor candidates, assisting with the overall processing and hiring of candidates, and filing employee documents as directed by the hiring center manager. The successful candidate will be part of a hiring center staff and team, the mission of which is to forecast and timely meet craft labor staffing requirements in the multiple projects in the region. It is required that the candidate have the willingness and ability to learn and operate all the hiring center programs and processes. Principal Accountabilities and
Responsibilities: Candidate must be familiar or willing to learn all hiring processes, systems and procedures. The candidate under the hiring center manager supervision, will work with the hiring center to daily welcome, register and process a high volume of craft labor applicants for employment, including scheduling employees for screenings and trainings. The candidate must be willing to excel at customer service, interacting with a high volume of craft labor applicants every day, and be efficient at assisting the applicants with onboarding activities in a very fast-paced environment. The candidate must take initiative to attend the needs to craft applicants in the hiring center, helping to ensure that the onboarding process is moving efficiently. The incumbent will learn all the hiring center software programs, databases and platforms utilized in the onboarding of craft labor. The incumbent will use his/her knowledge of the specialty construction business, compliance, company policies, and company systems to assist the hiring center in ensuring effective and compliant onboarding of craft labor. The candidate will also be responsible for helping file, maintain and manage craft labor employee records in the Houston hiring center including onboarding policies, general personnel files, I-9 forms, medical records, and training records. Experience and Training Required to Perform Job 2 years of experience in industrial or construction business preferred, or in customer service or recruiting. Experience working in the field for projects is preferred. Bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish) strongly preferred Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Team player with strong ethical behavior and mindset Effective and professional communications, both verbal and written Knowledgeable and comfortable with computer systems
