City of Camden Camden, Arkansas Position Opening Sanitation Supervisor The City of Camden, Arkansas, is accepting applications for the full-time Sanitation Supervisor position in the Public Works Department. Operating under the general direction of the Public Works Director, this leadership role directly oversees daily residential and commercial waste collection, transfer station and Class 4 landfill management, and team operations. The Sanitation Supervisor enforces municipal safety regulations, designs efficient pickup routes, handles citizen service inquiries, and directly manages crew members and equipment operations. The supervisor coordinates maintenance for critical department hardware, including waste compactors, collection trucks, and transfer facility machinery.
Minimal Qualifications
Education: Graduation from High School or equivalent (GED).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in solid waste operations, public works, or heavy industrial route logistics, including documented supervisory experience. Licensure: Valid Arkansas Driver's License; a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or higher is preferred (or must be obtainable within a designated probationary window). Must have or be able to obtain a Solid Waste Facility Operator's License, Class C, within 6 months of the hire date. The pay range is $20.19/hr. to $22.19/hr., depending on education and experience.
