Kalitta Charters II is seeking a detail-oriented Records Analyst to help maintain accurate, complete, and compliant aircraft, engine, and component maintenance records. In this role, you will partner across departments, support regulatory requests, and help protect the integrity of records essential to our operation. Reporting to the Aircraft Records Manager, the Records Analyst administers aircraft and engine records in accordance with Kalitta Charters II procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Administration requirements. The role requires sound judgment, careful documentation, and effective collaboration while working with a high degree of independence.
Key Responsibilities: Independently support and promote quality control programs related to aircraft records. Coordinate and communicate effectively with teams across the organization. Update master aircraft, engine, and component maintenance records, and verify accurate reporting of maintenance activity and modifications. Monitor time-controlled aircraft, engines, and components to ensure inspections and removals are completed in accordance with FAA requirements and company policies. Review maintenance records and related legal documents for accuracy, accountability, and completeness. Prepare required records for permanent retention and storage. Update approved escalations and aircraft constraints in the Veryon System. Provide reports and document copies requested by the FAA regarding the company's maintenance program. Prepare aircraft records for transfer to a new owner or lessor when an aircraft is sold or returned. Ensure aircraft records are collected, recorded, and filed in accordance with company and FAA requirements. Perform other duties assigned by the Aircraft Records Manager that are consistent with the role.
Requirements: Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accurate, complete documentation. Ability to organize records, manage competing priorities, and follow established processes in a regulated environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments. Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to work independently while escalating questions appropriately. Comfort learning and using records management systems; experience with Veryon or aviation maintenance records is valuable. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Location Requirements:
  • Position based in Ypsilanti, MI at Willow Run Airport (YIP)
  • There is no ability to work remotely
  • There will be no relocation package for this position
