About the role
- 3+ years in marketing, brand, demand gen, or GTM at a B2B, hardware, defense, or deep-tech company (agency experience on the client side of briefs also counts)
- Proven experience briefing and managing external creatives: agencies, freelancers, or production partners for video, design, or events
- Strong written voice: turn technical product language into clear customer-facing copy
- Hands‑on with video and social yourself (edit or produce short‑form, post and iterate), plus comfort across web/landing pages, event/booth collateral, and basic campaign ops (calendar, assets, deadlines)
- Heavy day‑to‑day use of AI tools for research, drafting, editing, creative iteration, and production speed, with judgment on when to ship vs. when a human pass is required
- Portfolio or work samples that show shipped campaigns or assets, not only strategy docs
- TravelIf you're located in Austin, the job is full‑time in the office in AustinYou must have the ability to travel for events, demos, and customer or partner moments as needed
- Experience marketing autonomy, robotics, aerospace, and defense technology
- Direct ownership of trade‑show booths and materials
- Direct ownership of field‑demo presence
- Experience building or running a small vendor roster (video, design, print, social)
- Comfort working with founders or technical leaders as the primary story owners
- Familiarity with marketing on LinkedIn, X, and in defense/industry events
- Product and design taste
