About the role

Oak Valley Hospital District is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for our Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services departments in Oakdale. This individual must have a passion for nursing excellence and be willing to provide outstanding patient and family supported care. The Speech Language Pathologist, under general supervision and medical direction, screens, identifies, assesses, interprets, diagnoses, and rehabilitates disorders of speech, language, swallowing function, and cognitive-linguistic disorders. This position requires providing care/service to an acutely ill (for the inpatient role) or outpatients (for the outpatient role) through rehabilitating pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; Masters degree preferred High school graduate or equivalent required Current California License as a Speech/Language Pathologist Current BLS certification At least one year previous acute care experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
