About the role
- 3-20 years of experience providing architectural design and construction document preparation and comprehensive construction administration as part of a professional architecture/engineering firm for Industrial projects.
- Minimum experience with building design in other market types is a plus
- Ability to recommend best value design which meets client requirements for intended use as well as operability, reliability, maintainability, and safety in an industrial setting
- Able to provide conceptual design planning to help clients understand the implications of proposed plant renovations through use of AutoCAD/RevitAble to generate design documentation, construction documents, and renderings utilizing 3D software (Revit, others)
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IBC, NFPA, ADA, etc.)Develops designs and produces drawings and specifications to define the architectural scope of projects
- Able to work with all design team disciplines, including outside consultants, to achieve a fully coordinated project
- Performs specialized investigations such as existing conditions verification and participates in comparisons of building system alternatives
- Applies architectural theories, concepts, principles, and processes to provide solutions to complex design projects
- May assist in the review of the technical evaluation of construction bids received from contractors
- May participate, from time to time, in support of business development activities and provide support and input for client proposals, SOQs, and presentations
- Architecture degree from an accredited US Architectural Program
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit/BIM 360 required
- Licensed as an architect in the state of Illinois
- Familiarity with code requirements for spaces in Industrial settings. NCARB Certification is a plusLEED AP Accreditation is a plus
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
