Polysomnography Technician – Sleep Studies Join our team as a skilled Polysomnography Technician, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing sleep disorders by conducting overnight sleep studies. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about improving patients' quality of life through accurate diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures and applying monitoring equipment such as EEG, EMG, and EKG sensors. Monitor patients during sleep studies, recording data on breathing patterns, oxygen levels, brain activity, and other physiological functions. Identify abnormalities in sleep patterns and provide data for physician analysis and diagnosis. Maintain accurate records of sleep study results and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Inspect and maintain sleep study equipment to ensure functionality during procedures.
Work Environment: The role is based in hospitals or specialized sleep centers equipped with advanced diagnostic technology. This position requires working overnight shifts in a calm yet focused environment while monitoring patients closely.
