About the role
Empowered Staffing is partnered with a leading healthcare food and facilities organization to identify a Food Services Director to oversee one healthcare facility. The Food Services Director conducts regular facility visits to evaluate operations, maintain client and employee relationships, and ensure compliance with company, client, state, and federal requirements. They will also responsible for cost-effective operations, budget and P&L management, purchasing, staffing support, and implementation of client contract requirements.
What You Will Be Doing:
Provides leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to facility management and staff.
Conducts regular facility visits and evaluates operational performance.
Supervises, coordinates, and evaluates facility managers and supervisors.
Manages cost-effective operations, budgets, P&L, and purchasing.
Maintains strong relationships with healthcare executives, clients, residents, and employees.
Ensures client contract requirements are communicated and implemented.
Ensures compliance with dietary safety, sanitation, infection control, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements.
Oversees Workers' Compensation reporting and appropriate safety resources.
Supports payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and employee administration.
Partners with internal teams and facility leadership to address operational needs and improve performance.
Performs other duties as directed.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of dietary or food services experience in a healthcare environment.
Experience supervising and leading dietary or food service personnel.
Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field highly preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with P&L and budget management.
Knowledge of dietary safety, sanitation, infection control, and healthcare regulations.
Ability to lead, coach, and evaluate Food Services Directors, Supervisors, and facility staff.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and healthcare facility leadership.
Valid driver's license required.
Willingness to travel between assigned facilities and participate in Area, District, and Regional activities.
