Quality Assurance IQuality Inspector I Location: Santa Teresa, NM Position: Quality Inspector I Department: Quality / Manufacturing Position Summary The Quality Inspector I is responsible for performing basic inspections of materials, parts, and finished products to ensure they meet quality and customer requirements. This position works closely with production and quality personnel to identify defects and maintain quality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections of materials and finished products. Inspect parts for defects, damage, incorrect dimensions, or other quality issues. Use basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures. Follow inspection instructions, specifications, and established quality procedures. Read and understand basic blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Record inspection results and complete required quality and separate non-conforming or defective quality concerns to the supervisor or Quality team. Assist with incoming, in-process, and final inspections. Maintain a clean and organized inspection/work area. Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or quality inspection experience preferred. Basic experience with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges is a plus. Basic ability to read blueprints or technical drawings preferred. Strong attention to detail. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Dependable and able to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to safely lift and handle materials as required. Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
