About the role
SI Placement is conducting a search for an experienced Campus Security Manager to oversee security operations for an exciting state of the art campus located in the Bronx. This individual will be responsible for maintaining a secure, welcoming environment for students, employees, families, and visitors. The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage daily security operations, emergency preparedness, contracted personnel, incident response, and campus security technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day campus security operations during and after school hours. Oversee physical security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alerting, and visitor management. Manage emergency protocols, drills, training, and incident response. Serve as the campus incident commander and lead post-incident reviews. Supervise contracted security personnel and monitor vendor performance. Oversee security planning for student arrival, dismissal, and campus traffic. Use data and incident trends to identify risks and improve operations. Partner closely with campus leadership, first responders and the community to strengthen security awareness and preparedness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. At least five to eight years of experience leading security, emergency management, campus operations, or public safety in a complex environment. Experience supervising contracted security personnel. Demonstrated emergency-preparedness and incident-response leadership. Experience managing access-control, surveillance, and related security systems. Strong operational and project-management skills. Sound judgment and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. The successful candidate will be highly organized, analytical, accountable, and committed to creating a secure environment that supports the campus community.
