About the role

About the role: You will own new-logo acquisition and existing account growth for Onward Tech's engineering-services portfolio across growth-stage and mid-market Med Tech firms in the Midwest. This is a consultative, solution-led sale - not transactional. What you'll sellAI Projects: ML model development, GenAI and LLM applications, computer vision for imaging and diagnostics, and predictive analytics, including AI-enabled SaMD taken from proof-of-concept through validated, regulatory-ready deployment Digital Engineering: Dev Ops, data engineering, data analytics, QA & test automation, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), product engineering, SaMD development Regulatory Assurance: FDA 510(k) support, EU MDR/IVDR compliance, DHF management, IEC 62304, CSV/CSA, post-market surveillance, CAPA automation Manufacturing Engineering: Production and process engineering, design-for-manufacturability, tooling and fixture design, automation and equipment engineering, and manufacturing/test support for medical device.
Key responsibilities: Work a named-account list of Med Tech and digital health companies with an ABM-led approach Run consultative, CTO/VP-level conversations that translate engineering and regulatory pain into scoped engagements Build and manage pipeline in CRM; forecast accurately against revenue and pipeline targets Partner with delivery leadership on solutioning, proposals, and senior-led delivery reviews Represent Onward at industry events and contribute to whitepapers and case studies What you bring 8+ years selling engineering, product-development, or regulatory/quality services into medical device, Med Tech, or life-sciences companies Fluency talking to technical buyers (Engineering Leaders, Quality/Regulatory Leaders) and translating between engineering and commercial value Working understanding of the medical-device regulatory landscape (FDA, EU MDR/IVDR, IEC 62304)Comfort selling a dual-shore/offshore delivery model and defending it on quality, speed, and cost. Established Midwest network in Med Tech / life sciences is a strong plus. How success is measured Qualified pipeline generated and revenue closed. New logos landed and named accounts penetrated.
