Job Description We are seeking a CMM / Quality Technician to join a manufacturing team in Madison, WI. This position is responsible for inspecting manufactured parts, fixtures, gauges, and tooling to ensure they meet customer and quality specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with precision measurement equipment and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
What You'll Do:
Perform dimensional inspections and quality audits on manufactured partsOperate CMMs and other precision measurement equipment to verify part conformanceProgram and troubleshoot CMM equipment as neededInspect parts, fixtures, gauges, and tooling against customer specificationsRecord and document quality inspection resultsAssist with identifying, segregating, and inspecting non-conforming materialSupport production teams with quality-related questions and inspection needsMaintain visual inspection standards and reference samplesCommunicate quality issues and findings with production and other internal teamsWhat we're looking for: High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience operating CMMs and standard metrology equipmentAt least 1 year of experience in a quality or manufacturing inspection environmentExperience with precision measurement tools and dimensional inspectionAbility to read and understand measurements, specifications, and quality requirementsBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office/ExcelStrong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection resultsGood communication skills and ability to work with both production and quality teams
