Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise, schedule, and assign daily tasks to sanitation technicians· Ensure all break rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas meet company cleanliness and sanitation standards· Conduct routine inspections and audits to maintain quality and compliance· Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching to sanitation staff on procedures, safety, and chemical handling· Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and coordinate reordering as needed· Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicals (SDS compliance)· Address employee concerns, performance issues, and attendance in alignment with company policies· Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve facility-related issues· Support deep cleaning, special projects, and preparation for audits or leadership visits· Maintain documentation of cleaning schedules, inspections, and corrective actions· Promote and enforce all safety policies, including PPE usage and hazard communication
Requirements:
Qualifications· High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or certifications in facilities, sanitation, or safety preferred· 2–5 years of custodial/sanitation experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment· 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and OSHA safety standards· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs regularly· Ability to perform and demonstrate cleaning tasks as needed· Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment:
