About the role

Overview: We’re looking for a Director of Product Management to build the pricing engine that powers Turo’s next chapter of growth. This high‑impact leadership role will build and grow a team of PMs, collaborate deeply with cross‑functional partners, and directly influence how millions of transactions are priced across our platform.
Responsibilities: Lead a team of product managers focused on building dynamic pricing recommendations, risk‑based fees, and host pricing interfaces, providing mentorship, strategic direction, and hands‑on coaching. Define and own the multi‑year product roadmap for pricing, balancing short‑term execution with long‑term platform ambitions. Partner with Data Science to drive development of dynamic pricing algorithms that respond to real‑time supply and demand signals, seasonality, and market conditions. Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Data Science to build pricing features that compound platform growth while keeping supply and demand in healthy balance. Hire, develop, and retain top PM talent; establish best practices and raise the bar for product craft within the team. Serve as the organizational authority on pricing – synthesizing market research, competitive intelligence, and internal data to inform strategy.
Qualifications: 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years managing a team of PMs. Experience in rideshare, travel, hospitality, or other marketplace businesses building pricing products at scale. Strong quantitative background and comfort with data, A/B testing, data science, and economics. Proven ability to develop and communicate a compelling product vision, and execute it through ambiguity. Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills across product, engineering, and data science. Strong people leadership; invest in the team, give direct feedback, and build a culture of high ownership and craft. Clear, concise communicator who can distill complex pricing concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Bonus: background in economics, statistics, or a related quantitative field; knowledge of ML‑based pricing models.
Compensation & Benefits: Target base salary range in San Francisco: $220,000–$275,000 annually. Eligible for equity and benefits. Employer‑paid medical, dental, and vision insurance. Retirement employer match. Learning & Development stipend. Host matching program. Travel credit. Cell phone and internet stipend. Paid time off, holidays, volunteer time off, and parental leave. In‑office lunch, snacks, and fun activities for hybrid/full‑time employees.
EEO Statement: Turo is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a participant in the U.S. Federal E‑Verify program. Women, minorities, individuals with disabilities and protected veterans are encouraged to apply. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives. Turo will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, as applicable. We welcome candidates with physical, mental, and/or neurological disabilities. If you require assistance applying for an open position, or need accommodation during the recruiting process due to a disability, please submit a request to People Operations by emailing People Ops@turo.com.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
