About the role

Historic City Management in Stuttgart The administration of the historically grown old town in the suburban area of Stuttgart includes the departments of urban development, environmental planning and geoinformation as well as city and building planning in the city planning office.
Responsibilities:
  • Professional, organizational and personnel leadership as well as control of the city planning office
  • Development and implementation of urban planning concepts and building planning
  • Project and budget responsibility for significant urban development measures
  • Accompaniment and control of the transformation of streets and infrastructure projects
  • Ensuring a climate-efficient and sustainable city planning
  • Structural shaping within the office and the urban development
  • Close coordination with the mayor and the lord mayor in strategic questions
  • Development and presentation of decision-making bases for the municipal bodies
  • Cooperation with political bodies, investors and citizens
  • Control and accompaniment of commissioned engineering offices (planning, awarding, management, billing)
