About the role

Project Manager - Pipeline Hiring on behalf of an established Southern California infrastructure contractor. The employer is disclosed to candidates who move forward. The role involves pricing and managing pipeline and gas distribution projects from award through closeout. The position is in field gas operations, with a clear path to broader responsibility. Review bid instructions and project plan documents. Run quantity take-offs for self-performed and subcontracted scopes. Request subcontractor and material quotes and select vendors. Build bids in estimating software and review them with operations. Prepare bid packages: work plans, schedules, pricing sheets and written deliverables. Manage awarded projects: submittals, RFIs, notices, scheduling and billing. Own client communication through the life of the job. We are looking for a candidate with a 4-year degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or 8 years in a comparable role. Project management experience in pipeline, gas or underground utility construction is required. Experience with Southern California public utility clients is preferred. Estimating, scheduling and construction accounting software experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication, with real attention to detail is necessary. Degree in business management, project management or construction engineering is preferred. Compensation is $100,000 - $130,000 base depending on experience, plus medical, dental and vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid vacation, holiday and sick time.
